vhs video to pc

brother in law just bought a jvc vhs video recorder and thought it would connect to his pc there is no dirct pc connection but it has video and audio outlets
would it be possible to connect to pc and what kind of hardware and software would be needed
he has a pioneer dvd writer on his pc
any help would be appreciated

Your video player, aeriel plugged into a TV card (approx £30) is a an easy way to get analogue video onto your computer, quality is limited to the original recording on the tape.
