VHS to DVD grabber, which one?

I want to transfer a hoard of VHS tapes to DVD via my PC. I have researched any number of 'grabbers' - once I get past the makers' blurb they all seem to have bad reviews from users. Can anyone out there (UK) recommend one that actually installs and works well, please?

Nope IMHO a dvd recorder is the best and easiest way to go.Once on dvd easy to put on the pc and edit with litle or no quality loss or audio/sync worries

I'm with eedcam. I always use this method from my camcorder as well.

I use an avermedia dvd ezeemaker pci card. It has always given me first class results. I don't fancy the usb grabbers. The card deals with the video and the sound goes into the usual line in socket. NEVER had any video/sound sync problems.
