Apologies for contradicting Fruit Bat's advice, but the cable he linked to won't work as your TV doesn't have any RCA RGB inputs.
What you need is a VGA converter - HERE's one example of the device you need to get, although I've not personally used it. You'd then connect it to the S-video or RCA video-in on the back of your Sony TV.
Note that if you simply want to view movies and photos then the picture quality will be satisfactory. If you intend to use it to mainly view text and other small objects then you'll be disappointed with the lack of sharpness. The same applies to all those converters.
im not an idiot fruit bat i know how to select the right input on the tv. thank you squirel i knew of this method but was trying to avoid it if i could but it looks like i wont be able to do it without buying the converter
