I have a netgear router (mr314)I have 2 pc connected via cable to get internet accessCAN I USE THE ROUTER AS A MEANS OF SHARING DATA/FILES BETWEEN THE TWO PC'S????TIA
Yes. Others would give you expert advice.
Quick answer yes but do not ask me how I have never networked as such. I use a USB bridge cable to share files
Or you might be able to use an FTP program between them.
thats the last time I spend £1.50/min on the PC ADVISOR EXPERT HOTLINEas they told me I need to either cable directly between the two PC's or buy a switch.I was shocked and confused. However I still have not managed the network but at least I know it is possible
Go back to Control Panel, Network and install Client forMicrosoft Networks, TCP/IP, and "File and Printer Sharing forMicrosoft Networks.
