i have configured windown mail to send and receive mails in my laptop running windows Vista, but the problem is that, i can receive mails but very when i try to send mails it gives me an error. so what may i have to do to be able to mail my e-mails the usine the windows mail , if i can seek an assistance on how to handle that?

it says "connection to the server has failed"

what may i be missing in the configuration?

you probably have not entered the correct isp address in the send section - it is normally something like smtp.yourisp.com

In setting up the email under properties try ticking the box which says that the server requires authentication?
