Using firewall with a wireless router

Cam anyone help,
I am using a belkin wireless router (for cable Broadband) and was wondering if I needed to use a firewall.
I have been told that I do not need to as the router has its own built in (which is enabled) but am in still i a little doubt.

The router's firewall will provide good protection against incoming threats.

Software firewalls like Zone Alarm do the same, but also protect against software going out to the internet when you don't want them to.

Many people (me included) use both. It doesn't do any harm.

I agree with Batch. Use a software firewall as well as the router's. Zone Alarm is excellent, but it is "sensitive" and will throw up a lot of messages to you. For example, if you upgrade Firefox, it will ask you if you will allow Firefox to connect to the internet because it has recognised that the executive file has changed.
