Hi

windows xp sp2. Tiscali 8mb. Wireless d-link router.

Can anyone tell me what the optimium settings for 8mb broadband should be using dr tcp - ie mainly 'receive window' and 'mtu' values?

Also, 'adaptor settings' - i have options of 'dlink', 'nvidia nforce networking controller' or 'microsoft tv/video connector'. Which shouild I set it to?

With many thanks

P

MTU/RWIN settings vary from line to line and from ISP to ISP. I follow this click here= to find my optimum RWIN and this click here to work out the MTU.

There's also a software tool that does the calculating for you click here

Using DrTCP I would apply the settings to DLink and nVidia networking controller.

You can apply to one, click save then apply to the other one then save. I presume one is your ethernet and the other is the wireless card. You need to apply to all adapters separately.
