User Environment error message

For the third time now I've used the two restore CDs which come with an Advent 3211 which deletes everything and restores the pc to its original state with XP Home on it.

At every boot up I get this message :

"Windows cannot load the users profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system.
DETAIL - the system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format."

The error message disappears after 30 seconds and I can use the pc as normal.

There doesn't seem to be any help on this for XP in the MS Knowledge Base.

Does anyone have any ideas please? It's very irritating.

I tried both of those links above but neither help I'm afraid. Neither are the exact error messages I'm getting.

Aha!
I created a new Administrator account, deleted the old one and it now seems to work.
