A reboot usually fixes the problem- but this time...

USB headphone and mic set.
Is refusing to play ball
It has its own software - which I have installed - uninstalled repeatedly.
Have checked the phones software and it gtives a response to the check device[I can hear this]
I have checked the sound card settings- making sure all is on and and at mid or max level and mute is off.
Running the 'onboard' sound -AC97 - panel check seems to be all 'On'
But still no sound from source.
Any ideas.
Phone/mic set make is Silvercrest
As stated the phones work in the 'Test'

Could be a device driver conflict.

I use USBdeview click here to remove all usb devices from the registry (except keyboard + mice)

then reboot reconnect the device and let windows reinstall hardware that usually solves USB device problems.

Look in Control Panel check it using the correct Hardware in Sound Devices
