USB not working

  cheekybaldy2 21:39 10 May 2007

Can someone help please.
All three USBs have stopped working on my Fujitsu Amilo laptop. I'm sure it hapened after pluging in a digital camera. I've looked in device manager and all seems ok. I've updated drivers but still nothing. I can't stand using the touchpad, and sick of loading photos onto a disk first before getting them onto the laptop. Please help.

Cheers from Cheeky

Refresh USB Ports
In device manager Uninstall EVERYTHING under the heading USB,
reboot the PC let XP find and install new hardware.
Your equipment should now be recognised.

If not then you may have blown the onboard nonreplaceable USB fuse.

A USB adaptor in the card slot will then be the only way of restoring usb capabilities to the laptop.

Fruit Bat /\0/\s advice is the same I gave to my nephew a month or so ago when his USB ports failed on his laptop and now they are fine.
