USB to Ethernet

Further to the earlier thread NTL broadband and USB I have the instructions for the connection change [courtesy of Andy]and it seems quite clear. However what about the software???? Also I have in my device manager a REALTEK 8139/810 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC. Am I to assume I have a card installed....bewildered annies boy68

Yes 'REALTEK 8139/810 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC' is an network card.

Is your broadband defiantly using a USB port and not Ethernet already???

If it is then as long as you follow the instructions exactly then you need do no more and all will be OK.

Yep on USB The reason I asked re software was that my installation disk wouldnt go [said I had a faulty network card] so I was guided thru by the help desk [so I suppose in theory I have no software]
