Hello friends, what exactly are USB drives and what are their uses? What is the highest storage capacity today? Thanks in advance.

USB flash drives do what floppy drives used to do, but much better. You plug the drive into a USB port and write data to, and read data from them. The largest I have seen is 4G, but even the 64M drives from Ebuyer at under £6 with free shipping are very good click here

for an example.

They go up to 4GB (or more) but most cost effective is 1GB these days.

They are useful for transporting data between computers as well as for temp back up.
