Usb Dongle

I have a vodafone usb dongle for my laptop. I also have a pc in the house. What i would like to do is plug the vodafone usb stick into the pc and use the on board wireless card to broadcast a wireless signal around the house. This will enable me to use my laptop or pc on the internet whenever i want.
Any ideas if this can be done or how it is done

Yes, it should be possible. You need to set up the Mobile Broadband dongle in the PC then enable "Internet Connection Sharing" on the connection.

Create an "Ad Hoc" wireless network between PC and Laptop and the Laptop will have internet access provided the PC is running and online.

I have a couple of tutorials on this:

Setting up an “Ad Hoc” wireless network with Windows XP click here

Setting up an “Ad Hoc” wireless network with Windows Vista click here
