I have usb 1.1 and whenever i plug in a usb 2.0 device a message says your device will work faster if u connect it to a high speed usb 2.0 port.
Can i stop this message from appearing

If you are using USB 2 devices why not get a USB 2 pci expansion card, plug them into that. They will work at the appropriate speed and you won't get your error message

I believe that USB 2 is a function of the motherboard and so if you can't connect that way you could push the boat out and buy a PCI -USB2 card.

They don't cost very much, but are only worth it for transferring data at a much better speed.
(HD to external HD, pen drives, and dowloading pictures from a camera).

It won't make any difference to Internet speeds nor printers, or many scanners.

Some 40 times faster in fact.

If you do get a card don't forget to install the USB2.0 drivers; XP will do so automatically when you reboot.
