I have an four old PC which came with USB 1.1 connectivity. It is currently running a version of Windows XP. Is there a simple - (inexpensive) way to add/change to USB 2.0 for all the advantages that would appear to have over the older system

Buy a USB2 PCI card and put it into a spare PCI slot, Bobh50. click here

But, as I'm sure MAJ will tell you ;-) it won't be absolutely 100% guaranteed to work with your motherboard if it's quite old. Should be okay though.

I've just done this upgrade myself on my system (five and a half years old & W98SE) using the Belkin card. click here
