Always messing about with computers and changing things around, come across a couple of powered 4 usb hubs ( In a draw unit ), no where on them doe's it say USB 1 or 2 is there a reference code somewhere, or something similar.........How do I find out, as always your help gratefully received

Physically noway to tell.

Plug it into USB2 port and power up, plug a USB2 device into hub if message appears "this device could run faster..." then is USB1 if no message then usb2

1. Go to the manufacturer's web site and look under products. You may see it.
2. If you plug it in, does Windows (device manager) tell you the version?
3. If you plug it in and run Belarc advisor will that tell you the version?

If you find the entry in Device manager and the word 'Enhanced' is used, it is USB2

If they don't have the "high speed USB" logo on them, then they're very likely USB1.

Manufacturers normally mark then for obvious reasons
