I've just been phoned by someone who proceeded to talk to me about "error logs" on my computer - wanting to know if there were "security warnings" logged etc. Not entirely happy with ail this, he then gave me a web-site address which takes me to "Logmein" - and he offers to "sort" my computer and address the "problems".

Is this a legitimate site, and how come they seem to know me?

I eventually hung-up the phone and thought of the Helproom! Any advice folks?

I do not now how many times this question has come up but it is a SCAM.Easy enough to get a phone number and the chances are pretty good that there will be a PC in the house and that PC will show errors. The errors for the most part are minor and not worth worrying about.

I repeat it is a SCAM.

Thank you for your confirmation, Chronus. This is what I suspected. I'm grateful to you!
