URGENT ADVICE ON PACKARD BELL TURNS OFF

I have a packard bell imedia 1602 with win xp home edition. Or it should have this.

I have had my PC for about 4 years and moved in that time and have lost all disks. My Pc has started to turn itself off after being on for a while. I got someone to take a look at it and i think they have wrecked it futher as it now does not let me copy my music to a disc and still turns off.

Can you help

Have you checked wether it shuts down because of a power save setting??

Probably heat

switch off unplug open the case and carefully remove all the dust and clean the fan blades.
