Hi All,
I have been given an old Carrera laptop with about 1g h/d and no cd drive. Its got win95 installed. I am thinking of upgrading the h/d and installed a cd drive etc. Any advice on costs and where to start. Thanks.

I would suggest you think carefully before making a decision to try upgrading. I feel this will be quite an expensive exercise, and you still won`t have a modern notebook.

Why not consider a new Toshiba Satellite Pro A10, price £586, including VAT.

2GHz Intel Celeron;
256MB RAM;
30GB hard drive;
14.1in TFT screen (1,024x768);
8x DVD-ROM;
USB floppy drive;
modem;
network;
2.8kg;
332x293x40mm.

This received a PC Advisor "Gold".
