I am thinking its time for me to upgrade my computer the spec,AMD Athlon XP 2600, Soltek SLKT600-C1L,512Mb DDR (PC3200) 400 FSB. But what I would like to ask is I am unsure of what graphics card to go for as I like to play games. I have doom 3 for instance and my current setup struggles its like watching a slow motion animation.

thanks in advance for suggestions

Have a look at click here but for your budget I think you'll be struggling, for about £40-50 more you should be able to get either a Geforce fx5900xt or an Ati 9800

I bought a PNY 128mb Geforce 5700 Ultra for £80 two weeks ago from ebuyer, quick find 64039, but it seems to be discountinued....

Overclockers has some well priced 5700's. A sparkle 128mb 5700 Ultra for £93.94 inc VAT.
Look here click here

Do you have an upper budget in mind for the whole thing?
