Upgrade to USB 2 - Laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron 2650, which I want to upgrade to USB 2, I have purchased a Belkin USB 2 PCI card and installed, using the drivers provided, but it will not work. When I try to use it message comes up, no drivers. Using my small knowledge, in control panel shows the card correctly installed and the drivers in place.

Any ideas?

when you say pci card do you mean pcmcia card (a laptop pc card that goes in the side of a laptop)?

What Version Of Windows Are you running?

Sorry, yes it is a pcmcia card (goes in the side). Windows XP SP2, which I know should run USB 2, but it does not.

look in device manager and look for the card.

Go start then right click my computer, then properties.
Then go to the hardware tab and then click device manager.

If you see the card with a yellow explanation mark next to it, right click and click on update driver. Then click automaticly install driver.
Make sure you have the driver cd in the computer incase.

Have looked, no yellow explanation mark.

It tells me it is installed and working, driver named.

Still not working.
