Upgrade Laptop

I have an Acer Aspire 5335 with Intel Celeron Processor 575 (2.0 Ghz, 667 MHz FSB, 1 MB L Cache. Could I upgrade this to a dual/quad core? Please provide links if poss. Thanks.

What are you trying to achieve and what version of Windows are you running?

If you're running Vista and you want to speed up the computer, I reckon your first upgrade should be your memory. An extra gig of RAM would really help, and shouldn't cost much.

I want a faster PC!!! I have Vista and 4GB ram.

OK - I looked at the spec of your laptop online, and it looked as though the standard is 1GB.

I know I had 1GB I have upgraded to 4GB. My question is can I upgrade the processor.

I don't think your Laptop Board will take the CPU and it would run very hot if it did work
