My PC has an American Megatrends Inc BIOS:Size 256k-Motherboard is K7VM2-Chipset VIA 82C3116 and CPU is an AMD Athlon XP2000+.Installed memory 256MB.
Given the above info',is it possible to fit an upgraded processor unit and DDR?

first visit the mobo makers site and from the list of mobos select yours and see what cpus it supports. As for ram visit crucial and let their system point the way forward.

asterias, what is it you are hopping to achieve by this upgrade? The rest of your system will still be the same.

It looks like you could go up to a 2600+ cpu

Upgrading yo processor wont make a lot of difference but you will notice better performance by upgrading your memory.
