Upgrade ???

ok toying with the idea of a new mobo/ processor ect, i currantly have a AMD 64 3000 processor & asus AN8-Deluxe sli mobo, if i was to change this to an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300/6400 would i notice any improvements ??? or would it be a waste of money ??

I would think it a waste of money. Only upgrading for the sake of it. Got money in my pocket burning a hole. I only have Athlon 2100

It would depend on hich mad 64 3000+ cpu you have.

Unless it is a HP computer, they are the only manufacturer that can get socket 939 64 bit semprons, you are better off keeping the money.

Stick it in the bank and look at quad cores next year:-)

Depends on what you want to do?

A recent comment in ComputerActive suggests that only those whose hobby is running benchmarks would notice much in the way of a difference.

If you are into highend gaming and have a graphics card to match or are keen on video encoding, you will not notice much difference for everyday usage.
