Updating W98SE to XP Home

I will be upgradeing to XP later this week. My hard disk is partitioned in to 3 drives, with windows on drive c, othe rprogrmas drive d, docs on drive e. I am assuming that it would be best to format drive C to do a clean upgrade onthis drive, then reinstall all my programs etc. Is this the best way to proceed, can anyone advise?

J%0 - You can just upgrade from Win98SE to XPHome without formatting drive, this will keep shortcuts to your already installed programs etc, but I have found it less of a hassle to do a clean install of OS, then programs etc. To be honest it is entirely up to you.
