Updating my Security Setup

  tAtu*! 12:33 16 Aug 2010

Hi all

I have just recently managed to get rid of the malware 'AV Security Suite' with the help of users on this forum... thanks!

I was thinking that I may need to update my security setup? is this enough or can anyone suggest anything that will help/enhance ?

I have:

McAfee 2010 Security Suite
MBAM (Free)
SAS (Free - only installed after removing malware)

Is this enough? i have been looking at threat fire and wondered if this would give me 'the extra' help I needed to keep my system safe?

I think you have everything pretty much covered with what you already have. Threatfire is another Anti Virus program so as long as you don't have them both running together (ie. McAfee & Threatfire) there shouldn't be any CONFLICT. Just make sure you don't have "Real Time Protection" enabled (assumimg that is an option)

I don't have either installed so I am unable to comment any futher.

As i understand Threatfire does not scan,it detects by behaviour. It does go with other anti virus.
