updating graphics card

i want to update my graphics card, but am not sure what my system (system specs:click here) is compatiable with. i am have seen a NEW NVIDIA GeForce 6600 512MB PCI-X Graphics Card, is this compatiable and i assume that this is a very good card to get?
Can someone also explain to me how i would ensure that my system is compatiable with a certain graphic card?

thank you

You can't just pop in a new graphics card into a laptop. Besides, your's uses an onboard chip, so you are stuck with it. Desktops with onboard chips a are different matter of course.

The link you gave is to a Packard Bell laptop. If you have a laptop you cannot upgrade the graphics as ade.h has said. You're stuck with whatever it has.
