Hi VOG, I have downloaded the software that you suggested and have over 300 or more updates etc to remove, but the only prob is that I do not know what I am deleting. I clicked on a few but they do not mean anything to me, will it still be ok to remove them as it does ask me if I wish to keep any?

You can safely remove them all.

Why would you want to remove all your security updates?

Hi, The reason I wish to remove security updates is because if they are null and void what is the point of retaining them when they use up mb and space? Or should I keep them?

There is no such thing as a null and void security update you need to keep them.

VoG™ link allows you to remove the backup files associated with the updates not the updates them selves.
