I run automatic updates and when i restart my computer it says "windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2" is it updating or not??

Hi thanks again.....i did what it said...seach for wininit.ini files and there is none there !! ME yes

this may not help as im not really familiar with win me but try to show hidden files and folders before searching:

click:start/my computer/tools/folder options/view/

tick "show hidden files and folders"

untick "hide protected operating system files"

click ok apply etc and try the search again maybe.
