Some times when using Microsoft Word I type a headline using "Bold" font and "Underline" after finishing the headline I will cancel "Bold" and "Underline" and carry on with the rest of my document. Some times "Bold" and "Underline" will reappear on there own without being asked for.
Is there any reason for this or is there any cure.

Click on the Back icon ( a semi-circular arrow going anti-clockwise)

i take it you mean the undo which will undo the last action surely?

I have found with off 2003 that sometimes the 'bold' or whatever continues on, just try what I said as an experiment after you have gone on to the next word. I have found that if I colour a word for emphasis the whole doc gets coloured and I use the undo and then only one word is coloured.

I've always found it much quicker to type the text first and then do the formatting which is required, rather than as you go along.
