when i use certain keys instead of letters appearing numbers appear?, If i go to the same numbers its still the number under that key.
this seems to be just on one side of the key board, this is a lap top XP loaded.
I have no new soft ware and there has been no spill on the computer I have scaned for virus nothing

Turn off NumLock.

Here are some possibilities:

1. Depending on how your keyboard is laid out, could it simply be that you have Num Lock switched on?

2. It's possible that your Alt, Ctrl or Shift key is stuck down. Try tapping each of them repeatedly to see whether this clears the problem.

3. Make sure your keyboard language is set to UK English.

4. Your keyboard may be faulty and need replacing.
