Does anyone know how i can set my welcome screen to indicate unread emails?
I have seen it on XP pro boxes - can it be done on Home Edition?

Looks a bit complicated, but once i have an up to date drive image, i will have a go!

Thanks for the info.

Why do you need this as you should be able to see what's not read as you should have a number by the inbox or messages in bold text

This is one of the annoyances with XP. In think most of us turn it off. It makes you wonder...

It's for my 12 year old son who uses about nine email accounts!
He also rarely clears up his inbox and fails to take note of new messages - so i thought the welcome screen idea would be an ideal prompt.

I use Netscape 7 but they are pretty much all the same how they display messages. What I like about Netscape is that without mail open if mail is on the server netscape pops a message up to say that there is mail, just above the system tray
