My friend in carnwall has a problem, and as he can't ask the question, he's passed it to me to ask.

He shut down as normal last night after downloading 'Winamp'. When he swithced on today , he could not start Windows, he has a Blue Screen with the following message -

"Unmountable_Boot_Volume" followed by the following Data " ****Stop: 0x000000ed(0x8634c9b0,0xc0000032,0x00000000,0x00000000)"

He has four options to go into safe mode, but none of them work - they all lead back to the Blue window again.

Help!!!!

(I'll pass any info to him by phone)

ThanX

Thanx folks

Have taken details of all the info and posted it to him (Snail Mail) as it was too much to convey intelligibly over the phone!!

ThanX Again

Success!!

After receiving my Snail mail with the articles enclosed, my friend had a couple of hours reading and trying things, and has just got around to phoning me to say he's up and running again.

Chalk another one up to the Forum

Thanks from Him and Me
