Unmountable Boot Volume, repairable?

I've got a pc which upon bootup started displaying Unmountable boot volume error, which I presume was due to the hd failing.

I managed to get an image of the drive and transfer it to a good drive (should have done it earlier of course)

Is there any way of saving it? all the files seem intact but I don't have any Windows discs (XP Pro). Windows starts loading for a few seconds, then the bsod.
