Unique visits...

I thought I was past the beginners stage, but it seems you never stop learning.

I have never bothered checking web stats on my site, except for a counter on the home page. I had to check how a site I did for someone else was doing tonight, so I popped into my own stats.

Now my counter tells me I have had nearly 18,000 visits in three years.

When I checked my web stats they tell me I have had 170,000 Unique hits this year alone (it does say Unique). Now this has me a bit puzzled.

Do the stats on your domain account have a more detailed break-down? If they do, it might help.

Looking at mine today, they were broken down into a lot of detail about page hits, file access, domains that had accessed my site, etc.

Yes, I find the F2S details are very good for that, with info on every domain that has sought access to my sites. You have to click through a couple of less detailed pages first though.

unique visits. I'll go and have a look at the detailed run down later on, it's a 1&1 site.

Thanks anyway, Whiz.......
