uninvited web pages

Now and again, about once a session, whenever I am on the internet I get a page on a web site called -spyonyou- come up. Its not a regular pop up add as it bears no relationship to the page I am viewing. I've noticed that it plants an .xml file in temp. int.file.folder which if read in notepad contains references to unsavourary sites. I also get this occasionally with a casino site and another undesirable site. I have used ad-aware which detects nothing apart from these occasionaly planted files which I obviously delete. But it continues to happen. I have never visited these sites voluntarily. Has anyone got a solution?

I forget the exact location of the site, but there is a free download called web window killer. Do a google search and you may find it
