Do I need any special software on my pc to display .shtml pages?
I can dispaly them on my work pc, but nothing comes up when I try to view the same page on my home pc?

Thank you

Got Java installed? Check Control Panel for a Java Control Panel.

Get it from click here

I think PaulB2005 is correct. You need Java to see this site.

Personally I use Microsoft Virtual machine which I find better, (and works with every Java site I have encountered. I installed Sun Java once, but removed it as the MS version worked much better). Microsoft Virtual machine used to be included with a windows installation, but due to a legal wrangle, it had to be left out in XP. However, you can get it here:

Java must be enabled in Internet Explorer options. Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools menu on the top bar, select Internet Options, Advanced tab, scroll down to "JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled".
Ensure this ticked - If it isn't, click a tick in the box, and then reboot your machine.

You can test if Java is installed, and working normally from here:

If you see the little character "dancing" about at the bottom, then its working.
