Windows 98 wont start beyond saying "Windws is now starting your MS-DOS-based system, Micr(R)Win 98. Copyr...1981-99" (nextline) C:\Windows>_"
When I try again I get the same result. Because a new PC is due next week I have just run the Defragmentation prog in DS mode, and hit this brickwall as a result. Obviuosly I am unable to access the help facility & am now using a friends PC to get help. Can anyone explain to a computer illiterate wrinkly how to get Windows 98 up and running again. Many thanks. Derek
