You need to follow this repair click here
Are you running a dual boot? If so XP will really have to be installed on a seperate drive not just a seperate partition on the same drive.
Despicable DesperadoNot quite right mate, i have run a dual boot system win98/XP Pro on ONE hard drive Partitioned with FDISK, XP on drive C:win98 on drive D:no problems at all, however i did read that you must install win98 on Drive D: FIRSTthen install XP on drive C:a boot menu is created for you automatically by the XP installationi am willing to be proved wrong on that but it worked for me.
You are quite right paperman27, I run 98SE on "C" and XP on "D". No problems at all, (well, not with the dual boot) as you say you must install 98 first.Regards,Sapins
