My daughter has an AOL wifi router, with password protection.Despite keying in the correct password, it will not recognise it.I even tried the AOL setup disc without any success.Any ideas?KJR
Are you putting in the correct user name, its better to use the complete user name email address and password for AOL?
It only has space for the password.
It may be 'Case' sensitive, have you tried adding the Password using all capitals, and/or the first letter a capital or all lower case?
Cn you look on the bottem of the router and tell me what the model/make number is?

Can you post which make & model Number. If its within say less than 3 years old its most likely be a Thomson SpeedTouch 586 v? these details are underneath.have you tried using Username = Admin & Password = Password or AOL ?You could stick a pin in the reset hole on the rear keeping it in for a few mins for lights to flash to reset it. Warning though this could stop your wireless connection until reset with network key.
Have tried upper/lower case and user name + admin password. Have successfully logged on to FON networks and In Wetherspoons and Nero Cafes.Router is Netgear DG34G/v3Thanks for all the helpful ideas.CheersKJR
