unable to load MSN

I have tried on several occasions to load MSN onto my computer.I get so far in the loading process and it rolls back and gives me a message about proxy servers.I have also tried to contact Microsoft for a solution to this problem but when I fill in the on line form and attempt to send it,the "unable to display"page comes up.Does anyone have any ideas how I can rectify this please?

need more precise info re the message as that is the clue, it may be that your isp is using a proxy server, if so the eror message generally provides a solution, check again.

I have contacted aol(my isp) and they tell me that they dont support a proxy server and to contact microsoft but as previously stated,as i attempt to contact them I get the unable to display page.I am loathe to reformat(if that would help)but there may be no other option.I am running xp home but have no xp disc only a recovery disc. Please take into account the "cyberthicko"tag if you have any suggestions to this frustrating problem.lol.
Many thanks for the reply.
