Driver 64 bit for Epson stylus photo 915 printer Have changed my computer which was 32 bit to one which has 64 bit, and the epson cd will not work on 64 bit. Have downloaded a driver from Epson site but still unable to install the printer, have also adjusted compatibility but no luck. Any advice on what else to try would be most welcomed.

Looks like Vista was the last OS supported. What OS are you running?

Try uninstalling the driver you installed, remove the usb connection and power off the printer. Reboot. Once on desktop connect the usb then power on the printer and see what happens.

Have not been able to install the printer at all.

According to the Epson support site the driver for the 915 is built into W7 64 bit and you should use the Add a Printer wizard to install it.

It should have been detected automatically when you connected it but as it is an older printer (10 years old?) then you probably have to install it manually. See Install printer

OK I checked on the Windows printer install list and at first the 915 is not listed. You need to click on the "Windows Update" button to download the latest list from MS. After that the 915 was there. I am also running Win 7 64 bit.

alanrwood - Thank you. I've just checked following your post and I too had to use Windows Update which does take a while.
