Unable to install camera driver from CD

I have a Benq DC 1300 digi camera that downloads via a USB only (no cardslot).
Last week I installed a pre-owned Logitech webcam which did'nt record anyway. However, that seems to have completely affected the ability to download to my digi, despite uninstalling both Logitech and Benq and defraging etc.
Now, the Benq CD disc won't allow me to reinstall the camera driver.
I've tried their website to no avail for this model's driver.
Various searches have also proved fruitless, as even when finding the driver it's failed to solve the problem.
Any advice much appreciated.

Do your camera used a memory card, such as Secure Digital?

If so, a memory card reader/writer is much less hassle...:-)

I gather this particular camera internal memory only no removable card.

It has been long recognized that the supplied software with camera camera can be a hindrance rather then a help in uploading images and my advice is always leave the disc in the box and let Windows do the work.

On plugging in a memory device[for that is all a camera is an external memory device with a lens and shutter bolted on]Windows should recognise this fact.
So remove all installed software for this camera. Re start the computer and run a cleaner such as ccleaner. Then plug the camera in.
The computer should put up a new hardware device
notice and looking in My Computer you should see a new removable memory drive symbol

Try that and come back
