When switching on my PC there is a beep and a blank screen with the following message:
Alert:
Unable to intialize onboard USB hub. Strike F1 key to continue F2 to run set up facility.
How can I fix it? Not very technical!!!!!
Its Windows XPSP2 and AOL*.
Thanks.

What happens when you press F2?

When I press F1 it starts to boot up and everything is normal. When I press F2 the set up facility comes on.

By set up do you mean the BIOS?

If so make sure all the Items marked USB are "enabled" try looking under advanced section for USB settings.

I have looked in Device Manager under the USB's and I have a Unknown Device with no drivers.

right click device and select update drivers.

or disable it then at the top of the page select Action scan for hardware changes it should find new hardware and reinstall your HUB.
