When selecting tools, internet options, delete files. The temporary internet files will not delete. Any advice welcome, thanks.
CleanUp! click here
Right click > IE > Properties > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Files - Then sit about for about 10 minutes or so, depending on how many you have to go.
After delete files the grey thing comes up with check box for delete all offline content. If you don't tick that on my IE6 lots of stuff stays in the files.
I have used programmes to clear files eg System Mechanic. The files will appear to delete but when I check again they are still there Any ideas.
I usually have the same problem so whenever I need to clear these files I open the Temporary Internet files folder, select all (Ctrl+A) & click on Delete. Works every time! HTH, G
Have you tried what VoG™ advised ?I had a problem much the same and even Norton would not clear the files. He pointed me to Cleanup and it works very well indeed, did the job first rate , great little program
