Unable to clink some links

I've been unable to use some links, especially links on emails etc. I thought I had a problem with my Mouse, but I got an email from a friend saying that they could not link to their site from mine, so somethings very strange.
I updated my IE browser several days ago to Explorer 7 - could this be the problem, or is there some new virus doing this?

Funny thing about all this: some of the links links on my website don't work either.

This has worked for some with this problem.

Tools, internet options, advanced tab and Reset internet explorer settings, click reset.

not thanks for all the suggestions guys. After trying many things, it turned out to be my resent update to Explorer 7. Either it wasinstalled properly or it has some problems it needs to sort out. Anyway, I uninstalled it and everything whent back to normal - mouse is working fine. I'm going to get another download of it and try again later.
