I have been using Internet banking etc for some time with no trouble, but I now cannot gain access to any secure site, all I get is 'cannot find server'. I've changed my explorer options as requested by my bank tech help and have repaired IE just to be sure butto no avail. I'm currently using freeserve and run Norton Systemworks 2k2 if thats any help
Please help

Try using as different browser, e.g. click here

You can also test your browser click here

I've had similar problems and every time I've traced it back to the firewall ie when I disable the firewall I've been able to access the secure server but it doesn't occur on every secure server.
I've tried three different firewalls and at some point it has occurred on each of them so for the time being I've got rid of them.

I had this problem with NatWest on line.

Following their suggestion to add their secure site to: Tools, Internet Options, Security, Trusted sites, all worked OK. I also turned off Zone Alarm for good measure.
