Ulead Photo express can't read my CD

  herbert lemmon 11:37 31 Jul 2005

When trying to import or select TIF pictures from a CD into Photo Express the following error message comes up
'IPE20 caused an invalid page fault on module KERNEL32.DLL ...'
How can I rectify this? I have version 2 which is rather old. Is it worth updating?
PS Ulead can't help with this and won't even let me register.

Have you brought September's issue of PCA? It has a FREE fully working version of Ulead Photo Express 4.0 on the cover disk.

I would try installing that, as it is probably to do with the problems that v2 has.

Thanks. Photo Express 4, solves part of the problem, but now I get the annoying, if more helpful, message 'unable to process CMYK file format'. Presumably this is because the TIFs were created in Photoshop. Is there a cheap and easy program that can deal with this?

It also looks as though Phot Express 2 was corrupted as it won't uninstall. Is there a trick to get rid of it?

You could convert your TIF's to something else, ie JPEG, with this:-

Thanks. Irfanview can read it, and just about anything else for that matter.
