i have just installed windows xp, then checked it + worked fine, i then installed Linux Ubuntu so i can dual boot between the two. When i turn the computer on i get the selection of what OS to boot from but whatever one i click on it says 'Mode Not Supported' and then just goes to a blank screen.....Any Ideas would be great!!!
i loaded the live cd then installed it from the icon on the desktop, i just checked and it still lets me load the live cd and play around with ubuntu but when i take out the cd and then select ubuntu from the boot selection menu it displays mode not supported....
Can you see the Windows Explorer in Live Ubuntu. As you need to check the Boot.ini file in windows and Edit it at lest so you can get back to windows. But also another thing you could try is a boot Manager, you may be able to load one from a floppy. Will Have a look around. This one is a free to try click here This one is Freeware click here
thanks woodchip, i checked the boot.ini file but im not really concerned about loading up windows as i have not lost any data as i completely installed both today, i will try a boot manager but im thinking maybe it is a problem with my graphics card-driver...?
