i have just installed windows xp, then checked it + worked fine, i then installed Linux Ubuntu so i can dual boot between the two. When i turn the computer on i get the selection of what OS to boot from but whatever one i click on it says 'Mode Not Supported' and then just goes to a blank screen.....Any Ideas would be great!!!

Thanks!

Can you see the Windows Explorer in Live Ubuntu. As you need to check the Boot.ini file in windows and Edit it at lest so you can get back to windows. But also another thing you could try is a boot Manager, you may be able to load one from a floppy. Will Have a look around. This one is a free to try click here
This one is Freeware click here

thanks woodchip, i checked the boot.ini file but im not really concerned about loading up windows as i have not lost any data as i completely installed both today, i will try a boot manager but im thinking maybe it is a problem with my graphics card-driver...?

could be a simple resolution issue, if its higher than 1024x768

windows now works for some reason so i have changed the resolution to 600x800 and it still does not work , i am going to try installing my graphics card in windows then see if that helps....?

When loading Linux You should have had Free space on the Hard Drive not aWindows Partition. Linux sets the Partition up on its own
