two wan two router one network

I've googled for hours without finding a satisfactory answer to this conundrum, so hope that I've come to the right place with this poser.

We have two internet connections at our shared house. Downstairs, we have 4pc sharing one connection and a lan via an adsl modem router.
Upstairs we have two pc sharing the other connection, again via an adsl modem router.
All pc are running XP Pro.

How do I configure the one of the upstairs pc to connect to the downstairs lan for filesharing only, while it continues to use its current connection for internet access? I would be wiling to take the second upstairs pc out of the equation, if necessary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
